If you are a sports fan, and like to keep up with your team, teams or fantasy leagues - you got to get this application - that is if you have a Blackberry! As you know you can easily go to NFL.com or MLB.com, ESPN.com and get the updates but...the way ScoreMobile is set up you are a click away from any live score, stats or live action info from any sport. Its fast, convenient, clean and it rocks! If you are addicted to your blackberry as much as sports...this is a NO BRAINER! Nothing like keeping up with it all from the boonies of Brazil. Being Mobile PAYS!

As many of you know I am self employed and have been since 1999 - this being my 10th year. I have been involved with fund raising, teaching abroad and since 2002 marketing online and have done very well. In this day and age with technology and the mobility of it all - you can take your work anywhere no matter if you are the middle of no where in Brazil. Lately I have had a horrible internet connection as well as many computer issues. I felt it was time to take my APPLE IMAC to the doctor but had to travel by bus to Sao Paulo - a 12 hour ride into the worlds 3rd largest city. There is good news and bad news - the good news is I was mobile using my Blackberry and was able to keep up to speed with my contacts and days activities. The bad news ended up being that my trip was a waste - there was a 3 day waiting list to attend to my needs technically. All I can say is being mobile pays - BOTTOM LINE! My trip was a good get away, for the day. ~E

Mobile - Your Back Up Plan

Yesterday I had a scheduled recording for a business podcast show. Scheduling can be a challenge a lot of times and timely. My guest had been in touch via SKYPE via computer but at the time we were to meet my computer froze. No worries I jumped on - well not literally but logged into my SKYPE account on my Blackberry Bold and began to let my guest know there would be a delay. How cool is that. She was impressed as well and we were able to get the recording done in good shape. I have done the same when I have lost power or an internet connection. Not only is being mobile convenient, but it is also your back up plan if your PC or MAC lacks power or an internet connection. ~E

Mobile 2.0 Conference in Sao Paulo, Brazil

If you think South America is behind times technically speaking, you are dead wrong. There are many places in the good ole USA who don't even have high speed internet capability. Can you imagine, I live in a rural Brazilian city that is a long, all night bus ride from the nearest airport & I even have a high speed internet connection. Not only has social media caught on majorly here in Brazil but so has Mobile 2.0. Now you all know how much of a mobile freak I am. With that being said I plan to attend any and every Mobile Media & Social Media conference there is when I am able. Twittin' Mobile

There is no holding back by saying how popular and awsome the Twitter social networking platform is for connecting - period! The day of the inauguration I met many new people with just comments I was making on what I was thinking or seeing plus made closer connections with my Twitter and Facebook network. A lot of people ask, do you stay on Twitter all day? NO, of course not, no where close. Once you start seeing what Twitter can do to connecting you to the world, you will think a little bit differently. You will be like a virtual billboard. Twitter isn't about business, business, business but it is a way for people to get to know who you really are in every aspect which leads to building trust - which sells. Now with all that said, do you have a smartphone yet? On my last post I mentioned how beneficial it can be to making your business mobile. If you have purchased one recently, then one application that you need, of course that is assuming you have a Twitter account is Twitterberry for blackberries or a Twitter application for the Iphone. If you aren't sure where to find it do a search on applications for blackberry or Iphone then start the downloading...next we will talk more about Twittn' mobile and what to look for while you are out and about on next post.

Going Mobile with Smartphone!

One of the great things today about technology is the ability to make your business mobile. If you are not an owner of a smartphone and you are a busy executive or a business owner, what are you waiting on? The top smartphone(s) would be the BlackBerry Storm (touchscreen) and Blackberry Bold being the latest models! Of course there is the ever popular IPhone from Apple. You may not agree but these are the best of the smartphone family in my opinion.

What would you want or gain from having a smartphone? The first thing that comes to mind is leveraging your time. If you find yourself ever standing in a line at the grocery store, or waiting forever at the dentist...you get the idea - a chance to leverage your time by using your smartphone. With Social Network applications such as Facebook, Twitter, sending or reading emails, and with news applications such as CNN, ESPN, NY Times, AJC basically you can take your biz on the go plus keep your social network activity updated more easily and never miss breaking or the latest news if that is important. You can even make blog post from your phone like I am now.  With the 3G Network now available, you are now able to get WIFI internet on these devices with a rapid connection so you can do just about anything whether its business or pleasure. Leverage your time with the smartphone - next time when I am in the USA I will purchase the Blackberry Bold, I currently have a Blackberry Pearl - black is my preferred color if you were curious.

Take it from me, I have had my business on mobile since 2005 and from the interior of Brazil making life and business easy for me. ~E
